MALAPPURAM: Nilambur Left Independent MLA P V Anwar has leveled serious accusations against ADGP Ajit Kumar, alleging that he is involved in criminal activities linked to gold smuggling and has even been responsible for multiple murders. The accusations were made during a media interaction in Nilambur, where Anwar expanded on his claims and released an audio recording purportedly implicating Pathanamthitta SP S. Sujit Das in the theft of smuggled gold.

Anwar's allegations against Ajit Kumar are grave, with the MLA asserting that the senior police officer has committed murders related to gold smuggling operations in Karipur. He also claimed that Ajit Kumar's wife had phone conversations with people involved in smuggling activities, which Anwar described as "shocking." Anwar further alleged that a cyber cell team is working under Ajit Kumar to hack the phone calls of ministers, politicians and journalists and that his own phone had been under surveillance for three months.

Anwar justified the release of Sujit Das's audio recording as the only way to expose what he described as the "hypocrisy and anti-national activities" of certain police officers. The MLA accused Sujit Das, a former Customs officer before joining the IPS, of being involved in stealing gold from smugglers at Karipur airport, claiming that Das's team, known as the DANSAF, is composed of seasoned criminals who systematically loot smuggled gold.

Anwar warned that he has evidence against Sujit Das, Customs officials and Ajit Kumar, whom he described as the mastermind behind these illegal activities. He predicted that Ajit Kumar would soon be imprisoned, and that Sujit Das's path would also lead to Central Jail.

The MLA also expressed concerns for his safety, likening his situation to that of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was assassinated by her bodyguards. He warned that the ongoing scandal could have serious repercussions for the party and the Chief Minister, who, according to Anwar, must answer for these allegations. Despite the risks, Anwar stated that he is committed to exposing the truth, even if it means putting his life on the line. He concluded by affirming his belief in the Chief Minister's integrity but emphasized the need for a thorough investigation.
