KOCHI: Former SFI leader Rohit, who was taken into custody for allegedly circulating pictures of female students in lewd groups on Facebook and released on station bail, has been taken into custody again by Kalady Police on a fresh complaint that he had circulated the picture of a minor girl in such groups. More serious charges may be filed against Rohit.

The police action is also in the background of the opposition protesting in the Legislative Assembly against the release of Rohit, who is also an alumnus of Kalady Sreesankara College, on station bail. Rohit was arrested following an investigation into a picture of a graduate student that was in pornographic groups on Facebook. A case was registered based on the complaint of the student.

It is suspected that he shared the pictures of around twenty female students of the college in various pornographic groups. The police recovered both of Rohit's phones. As per the complainant, Rohit's house is near the college and even after finishing his course and becoming a photographer, he used to come to college events.
