Karnataka landslide: 20 people from Kerala are enough for searching Arjun: Karnataka police

KARWAR: Karnataka police said that only 20 people from Kerala are needed to search for Kozhikode native Arjun, who went missing in a landslide. During the search, there was an argument between the Malayali rescue workers and the Karnataka police. It was suggested that 20 people from Kerala are sufficient as the search is happening at the same time. It appears that the dispute has now been resolved.

MLA Satish Sail informed that the search for Arjun on the land area will be completed today. From tomorrow, further search will be done in the river. Dredging possibilities are also being explored. Permission will be sought for this. Sathish Sail said that the bridge and weather are obstacles and a retired expert from NDRF will reach the spot tomorrow.

The army stated that they got crucial information during the search for Arjun, but the lorry was not found during the search. The radar signal was received from two places. The search for Arjun continues for the seventh day today. The investigation is based on the suspicion that Arjun's lorry may have been parked near the roadside. There is still a dune on the side of the road.
The lorry driven by Arjun was hit by a massive landslide on the Kanyakumari-Panavel National Highway 66 on the Mangaluru-Goa route at Shirur near Angola. The accident happened at 8.30 am on Tuesday.
