MPs AA Rahim and V Shivadasan receive threat calls; Bomb threat to Parliament

NEW DELHI: A threat message was received by MPs from Kerala AA Rahim, V Shivadasan in the form of a phone call. The message was in English. The message was that Khalistan was part of the movement. AA Rahim said that they said that bombs will be thrown at Parliament, Red Fort and India Gate.

Rahim's words

"The call came at 11.27 last night. The call was from UK. There was a missed call at 11.26. Heard a recorded voice. The conversation began by addressing 'Dear Members of Parliament'. Such messages are used to give notifications when the Parliament is in session. I thought it was such a call. Shivdasan and I were standing in the airport lounge when the call came. At 11.30 Shivdasan also received a call. It was from an Indian number.

Shivadasan put the phone on loudspeaker. I recorded it. Immediately informed the police. The record was also handed over. The police came after 12 midnight and collected the information directly. We also informed the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha about this through a letter. The message was in English. The message was that Khalistan was part of the movement. Bombs were said to be thrown at Parliament, Red Fort and Indiagate. Police started investigation" - AA Rahim said.
