ANKOLA: The Karnataka government has confirmed that the truck of Malayali driver Arjun, who went missing in the landslide in Shirur in Ankola, has been found in the Gangavali river. The truck was found during a search conducted in the river using the most modern facilities, including a deep search detector. It was Karnataka Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda who revealed this through X.

According to reports, the truck was found twenty meters away from the river bank. Karwar SP said that the steps for taking out the truck from the river will be completed soon. At present, deep divers are conducting a search in the area near the river bank. It is reported that heavy rain is continuing in the area.

Earlier in the day, ropes that were believed to have been used to tie wood to Arjun's truck were found in a sand dune. The presence of metal was also detected in the area. There were about 300 logs of wood in the lorry. However, none of them has been found so far. The rescue operation is progressing very cautiously.
