Versatility, thy name is Urvashi. The actress has comfortably ambled various industries in south India creating blockbuster movies. It is the same versatility to commit to any character that gifted seven state awards to the actress. She is also a recipient of the national award.
Urvashi’s ‘Ullozhukku’, released in July has already created waves for the brilliant performance from the cast. The critics also favoured the movie singing paeans for the actress. In the latest interview, the star revealed their experience of acting with Kamal Haasan in the movie 'Michael Madana Kamaraj' in an exclusive interview with FilmiBeat.
URVASHI:
"The combination scenes with Kamal Haasan were difficult. I was shocked when the take suddenly went off without even looking caring to rehearse the scene. It was all done in a frenzy. After the shot, Kamal, who couldn't keep up with my performance, suggested another take, but I said no and stayed away.
I was very young in the movie and had a hard time trying to equal Kamal Haasan’s performance. I was starting to learn the dialogue when the director decided to go for a take. But things worked for me somehow and the shot ended up nice. Kamal later taunted me for lying about not learning the dialogues.
In reality, I only learned some bits of the dialogue and it worked well. It was for the same reason that I rejected another take for the scene because I knew how difficult it was.
