Shared congress leader Rahul Mamkootathil's speech on FB; Action initiated against Kannur cop

KANNUR: An investigation has been ordered against a police officer for sharing a video of a speech made by Youth Congress State President Rahul Mamkootathil on the former’s Facebook page. The action is against Prince, a senior civil police officer of Kannur Taliparamba police station.

The district police chief observed that sharing the speech has tarnished the political neutrality within the police battalion. The district police chief directed the Cherupuzha CI to investigate the incident and submit a report.

The order also states that the memo should be given to the accused within a week.
