NEW DELHI: Former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar made a crucial intervention after complaints rose about NEET-PG exam centres being allotted at distant places for Malayalee students. Rajeev Chandrasekhar has conveyed the matter to Union Health Minister JP Nadda.
“Minister JP Nadda assured about resolving the issue while the National Board of Examinations has already started steps to ensure allotment of examination centres to Kerala students, nearer to their residence” Rajeev Chandrasekhar wrote on X.
It is now expected that the students will get the notification by August 5. Most of the Kerala students got centers in Andhra Pradesh. Students from Delhi have to go to Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to appear for the exam. Two and a half lakh MBBS graduates will appear for the exam. There were several centres in Kerala but most applicants had to select neighbouring Andhra Pradesh as there was a technical glitch at the time of applying.
At the same time, BJP state president K Surendran thanked the Narendra Modi government for solving the NEET-PG exam centre crisis in Kerala.
