200 thookku vilakku, 30 giant atta vilakku stolen from Thrikkovil Sri Padmanabha Swami Temple

PATHANAMTHITTA: A theft has been reported in Vallicode Thrikkovil Sri Padmanabha Swami Temple. After jumping the temple wall, the thief entered inside through the back door and committed the theft. 200 thookku vilakku (hanging lamps) and 30 big atta vilakkus were found stolen. The thookku vilakku lost were that of the devinada and mahadevan nada.

The police, finger print experts and the dog squad reached the spot and examined the area. The police dog sniffed the towel (thorthu) obtained from the premises and suspected to be that of the thief ran towards the Thrippara area. The dog stopped after running all the way to Achenkovil River. The police are checking the CCTV of the houses from Vallicode to Thrippara.
