16-year-old girl dies after falling from train; accident while going for admission with parents

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 16-year-old girl died after falling from the train. The accident happened at Edava in Varkala. The girl has been identified as Gauri of Kollam.

The accident happened Thursday morning at 6.10 am. When the Venad Express from Thiruvananthapuram to Kollam reached Decent Mukku in Edava, the girl slipped and fell from the train.

Gauri was accompanied by her parents. The family was going to Pathanamthitta for her plus one admission. Though Gauri seriously injured was rushed to Varkala Taluk Hospital, her life could not be saved. The body will be handed over to her family after postmortem.
