SRINAGAR: An earthquake struck Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday morning. Continuous tremors were felt in different parts of Kashmir this morning. 4.9 and 4.8 magnitudes were recorded on the Richter scale. Earthquake tremors were felt in areas including Baramulla.
The first incident happened around 6.45 am. It shook up to a depth of five kilometers. Minutes later at 6.52 a second earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 hit the same region, at a depth of 10 km.

No casualty has been reported. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely.
