Filed complaint against Alencier for misbehaving with me on sets of Aabhaasam, no action or reply so far: Actress Divya Gopinath 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actress Divya Gopinath said that the organization AMMA has not yet taken action on the complaint filed against actor Alencier. "Alencier misbehaved with me on the sets of the movie Aabhaasam. I had filed a complaint in 2018. I brought this to the attention of Edvala Babu again but the reply was that 'Alencier has apologized'," Divya said. Divya also revealed that, AMMA has not yet given an official reply after filing the complaint.

Divya Gopinath pointed out that AMMA should be ready to ensure the safety of women in the workplace. "After six years, as a complainant, my chances in films have decreased. However, Alencier has not suffered any particular losses and remains active in the industry." Divya also said that it was AMMA's compromise that gave Alencier the courage to speak misogynisticly even at the state award stage.

After the release of the Hema Committee report, women film artists had come forward against director Ranjith, actors Siddique, Mukesh and Riyaz Khan. Following the allegation, Ranjith resigned from the post of chairman of the film academy and Siddique Amma resigned from the post of general secretary.
