NEW DELHI: More complaints are surfacing about Malayali students being denied admission to Delhi University with officials crying foul over the ‘dubious’ recognition of Kerala Higher Secondary Board. In the Kerala Plus-Two certificate, it is written as Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Examination. Meanwhile, on the website of the Council of Boards of School Education, it is written as Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Education.

Colleges under Delhi University, including Hansaraj and Dayal Singh, had denied admission to eligible Malayali students alleging this reason. Muslim League Rajya Sabha MP Haris Beeran demanded that the Chief Minister intervene directly to resolve the issue. The MP also accused the Kerala government and higher education department of not taking necessary steps despite the media bringing the irregularities to the attention of the government last year itself.
