Major IAS reshuffle; new posts with additional duties for civil servants

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The duties of IAS officers have been changed ahead of Sarada Muraleedharan's elevation to the post of state chief secretary. As more people went on central deputation, many were given additional duties.

Home Secretary Vishwanath Sinha has been given additional charge of Irrigation and Inland Navigation and Coastal Shipping.
Director of Employment and Training Dr Veena N Madhavan has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms and given the additional charge of the Department of Cooperation.
K Jeevanbabu, who was the director of the National Health Mission and the State Mission, has been made MD of the Water Authority. Dr. Vinay Goyal, the IT Mission Director, is the new Mission Director. He has also been given the additional charge of Medical Services Corporation MD and e-Health Special Secretary.
Dr. D. Sajith Babu, who was the Commissioner of Civil Supplies, has been transferred to the post of Registrar, Cooperative Department. Kollam Sub Collector Mukund Thakur is the new Civil Supplies Commissioner.
TV Subhash, who was the registrar of the cooperative department, was brought back to the post of PRD director. He was also given the additional charge of MD, State Cooperative Agricultural Rural Development Bank. K Gopalakrishnan, Director of Scheduled Caste Development Department, has been given the additional charge of Director of Industry and Commerce Department. Sriram Venkataraman, joint secretary for resources in the finance department, has been given the additional charge of MD, KFC.
Thiruvananthapuram Sub Collector Dr Ashwathi Srinivas has been made Ernakulam District Development Commissioner. She has also been given the additional charge of MD of Vyttila Mobility Hub and Kerala Construction Corporation. Thiruvalla Sub-Collector Safna Nasruddin has been made Labor Commissioner. Idukki Sub Collector Arun S Nair has been made Entrance Examination Commissioner with the additional charge of Director, Remote Sensing Environment Centre.
Thrissur Sub Collector Mohammad Safiq has been made Deputy Secretary, Project Monitoring Department with additional charge of KTDFC MD. Tirur sub-collector Sachin Kumar Yadav has been made deputy secretary in the finance department. Kanhangad Sub-Collector Sufiyan Ahmed has been made Director of Employment and Training with the additional charge of MD, Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence. Thalassery Sub Collector Sandeep Kumar has been made IT Mission Director.
