THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Indian Railways has resolved the concern of Malayalees that the travel crisis will worsen during the Onam holidays. Considering the rush of passengers during the holiday season, the railways have extended the timings of 12 special trains. The schedule of trains running till the first week of December has also been released. Trains bound for stations in Tamil Nadu such as Tirunelveli and Coimbatore are also included in the special list.
Kochuveli - Shalimar Weekly (06081) train, which operates on Fridays, will run from September 20 to November 29. Shalimar - Kochuveli (06082), which runs on Mondays, has been extended from September 23 to December 2.
