Kerala ration shops to distribute free Onam kit with 14 ingredients tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Around six lakh AAY (Yellow) cardholders in the state and all ration card holders in the Wayanad disaster-stricken area will get their Onam kit from Monday. Officials will deliver the kits directly to the NPI cardholders, who are residents of the welfare institutions, tomorrow. One kit will be distributed to 4 people living in welfare institutions.

The state-level inauguration of Onam kit distribution will be at 8 am at Bapuji Library Auditorium, Peroorkada, on Monday. Minister G R Anil will inaugurate the event.

The Onam kit consists of 14 items including Green Gram Beans, Semiya Payasam Mix, Milma Ghee, Cashew Nuts, Coconut Oil, Sambar Powder, Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder, Tea powder, Chickpeas, Tuvar dal and cloth bag.
