'Destroyed computer and other valuables'; house owner complains about Dr Sreekutty and Ajmal

KOLLAM: After hitting a scooterist in Mynagappally, Ajmal and Sreekutty put on display their egregious side after they moved forward the car running over the injured woman. The locals followed the car and soon caught them up, not too far from the accident spot. Ajmal ran to a nearby house after getting manhandled by locals while Sreekutty followed him.

Ajmal was in traditional Kerala Kasavu mundu while Sreekutty was adorned in a maroon saree. The housewife from the nearby house was preparing to light up the lamp when she saw the duo barging into their house. The house owner says that the duo destroyed valuables including the computer system. Ajmal escaped through the kitchen door when he came to know that the locals were behind him.

On early Monday morning, Sasthamkotta police took Ajmal into custody from his friend's house in Sooranad.

The accident took place at Aanurkavu Junction at 5.47 pm on Thiruvonam day. Kunjumol was returning home with her brother-in-law's wife, Fauzia, after buying new clothes on the occasion of Milad un-Nabi. The scooter tried to cross the road when the speeding car rammed into them.

Kunjumol fell on the road in the collision. The locals swarmed the area to help but Ajmal had another plan. He pulled back the car into reverse and then charged ahead at high speed running through Kunjumol’s body, leaving the locals in shock.

The car tried two times to take the reverse but missed Kunjumol’s body. It was the third attempt that saw the car running over her. The locals rushed Kunjumol to a private hospital in Karunagappally but her life couldn’t be saved.
