KOCHI: A day after getting interim bail from the Supreme Court in the molestation case, actor Siddique ended his ‘life in hiding’ and came to meet his lawyer. After the High Court rejected the anticipatory bail application, the Special Investigation Team was on a massive search for Siddique, who evaded arrest for five days.
Siddique reached the office of Adv. B. Raman Pillai in Ernakulam North on Tuesday evening seeking legal advice on possible arrest. The meeting lasted for an hour. Siddique’s son Shaheen also took part in the discussion.
While coming out from the office, Siddique evaded the media. It is now reported that Siddique was hiding within Kochi while Police were rummaging the city for the actor. The police came to his residence the other day but didn’t enter.
It is indicated that Siddique will not voluntarily appear before the investigation team without receiving a notice. The court's direction is to release him on bail even if he is arrested. Bail terms can be decided by the Sessions Court. Earlier, film actors Mukesh and Edavela Babu were arrested and released after being interrogated by a special investigation team.
