MUMBAI: Days after a bank deputy manager committed suicide by jumping from the Atal Setu bridge in Mumbai, a businessman ended his life by jumping from the same bridge. The deceased has been identified as Philip Hitesh Shah (52), a native of Matunga. The incident occurred at 9 am yesterday morning.

Seeing the car parked and the person jumping from the bridge, the police rushed to the spot and initiated rescue efforts. Though the Navi Mumbai police and fire force together rushed him to the hospital, his life could not be saved. The family revealed that Philip had been facing mental stress for the past few months and was undergoing treatment.

Sushant Chakraborty (40), a Bengal native and employee of a nationalized bank, had committed suicide three days ago by jumping from the Atal Setu bridge. Sushant's wife alleged that he committed suicide due to work pressure. The incident comes after Malayali Alex Joji, Associate Vice President of a private bank, also died by jumping from the same bridge last month due to work pressure.
