Case against P V Anwar MLA again for leaking official secrets

MALAPPURAM: Another police case against Nilambur MLA P V Anvar. The Manjeri police have registered a case against Anvar on the complaint of leaking official secrets. The case is on the complaint of Malappuram Areekode Special Operation Group Superintendent.


Anvar alleged that phone was leaked for ADGP M R Ajith Kumar and Malappuram SP Sujith Das in Areekode camp. It has been registered in the FIR that Anvar leaked official secrets. A case has been registered under the Official Secrets Act and the IT Act based on the remarks made by Anvar in the press conference.

Anvar himself revealed in the press meet that ministers’ phones are being leaked. Anvar raised the phone leak as part of strengthening the allegations against political secretary P Sasi and ADGP M R Ajith Kumar. Anvvar had repeatedly alleged that ADGP leaked the phones of ministers. It is alleged that the phone was leaked under the guise of Maoist surveillance. Along with that, Anvar himself claimed that he leaked phone.

The police had earlier registered a case against Anvar on the complaint of leaking phone. The Karukachal police registered a case on the complaint of a resident of Kottayam. The case is under the Indian Telecommunication Act.
