KOZHIKODE: It is reported that lorry owner Manaf will be exempted from the case filed by the family of Arjun, who died in the Shirur landslides. The family did not ask for a case against Manaf despite filing complaints about brutal cyber-attacks in the comment section of Manaf’s YouTube vlog.

The police informed that Manaf's name was included in the FIR as part of the preliminary investigation. But officials now say that Manaf will be exempted from the FIR. Meanwhile, Manaf will be made a witness in the cyber-attack complaint.

The police are checking the cyber attackers' social media profiles. They have also decided to file a case against some YouTubers.

The police first registered a case against the lorry owner Manaf and those who spread abuse on social media. A case has been filed under the charge of trying to create a communal rift in society. The police said they would check the social media pages and take the family's statement today. It was Arjun's sister Anju, who filed a complaint with the Kozhikode Commissioner.

In the complaint filed by the family, it is said that the cyber-attack has gone beyond the limit and has turned unbearable. Anju's husband Jithin alleged Manaf to have instigated people to spread abuse through his vlogs showing the family in a bad light.
