CHENNAI: PV Anvar's prospects of joining the DMK-led front appear to be fading, as the DMK leadership is reportedly hesitant to include him. DMK spokesperson TKS Ilangovan stated that bringing in a person expelled from Kerala's LDF parliamentary party would go against the coalition's ethics. Although discussions between Anvar and DMK leaders took place in Chennai, the final decision rests with Chief Minister Stalin, who has strong relations with Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
Meanwhile, Anvar has announced the formation of the Democratic Movement of Kerala (DMK), a social movement rather than a political party. He hinted at contesting upcoming elections under this banner, though the name might change. With a large crowd expected for Anvar's political briefing, security arrangements have been heightened.
