14-year-old boy dies after being hit by train in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: A young student died after being hit by a train while crossing the railway track on Monday. Muhammad Irfan (14), son of Hussain Koya, from Kozhikode Chaliyam, died in the incident. The accident took place on Monday morning near the Mannur railway on the north side.

Irfan is a 9th-grade student with mild hearing disability. The accident occurred when a goods train arrived at 8.18 am. It is believed that Irfan was unable to hear the sound of the approaching train which led to the accident.
