Sabha TV broadcast is ten minutes late because references removed from assembly records are not telecast; Speaker AN Shamseer

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Speaker AN Shamseer said that the speech on Sabha TV is being broadcast ten minutes late so that references removed from assembly records are not telecast. He was speaking at the launch of Sabha TV's new channel, 'Sabha TV Exclusive'.


The Speaker also announced the PG Diploma in Parliamentary Studies and Basic Certificate course being started by the Kerala Legislative Assembly Media and Parliamentary Study Centre (K-LAMPS). Deputy Speaker Chittayam Gopakumar presided over the function. U Pratibha MLA released the documentary 'Dr Mary Poonen Lukose: Charitram Piranna Kaikal', produced by Sabha TV on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Dr Mary Poonen Lukose's legislative membership. Assembly Secretary Dr N Krishnakumar and K Lamps Executive Director P Hari spoke on the occasion. Ministers P Rajeev, K Krishnankutty, AK Saseendran, Kadannappally Ramachandran, Chief Whip Dr N Jayaraj and others were present.

The ceremony was boycotted by the opposition. VD Satheesan pointed out that the opposition protests and speeches on Sabha TV were being edited and telecasted and said that the boycott was a protest against this.
