THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Devaswom Board president P S Prasanth said Lord Ayyappan will recognize people who see Sabarimala spot booking controversy as a golden opportunity. We will proceed with the virtual queue. However, he assured that no devotee will have to return without getting darshan. It is insincere to say that the virtual queue will be subverted and the faithful will be allowed to enter. That is political interest. I am also a devotee. The Devaswom Board stands with the devotees, he said.
His words
The safety of the pilgrims is important to the devaswom board. 14 decisions were taken in connection with Sabarimala during chief minister's review meeting. Only the omission of spot booking is taken and a controversy is being created. The concern of many including the CPI will be examined. The present decision is not the final word.
The devaswom will not run away from responsibilities. All preparations have been completed. The opposition leader should not fuel those who see the spot booking evasion as a golden opportunity. No devotee will return without darshan, that is my word.
