KOCHI: Actor Bala was detained from his house in Kochi over his bilious remarks aimed at his former wife. Kadavantra police took Bala into custody from his house in Palarivattom on the complaint of the actor’s former wife. By Monday evening, Bala walked out free after the court granted him bail but will strict conditions.

Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court granted bail with strict conditions asking the actor to abstain from online campaigns against his former wife or daughter. Bala is also barred from discussing the case with media portals.

Meanwhile, YouTuber Aju Alex, who goes by the sobriquet ‘Chekuthan’ reached Kadavanthra police station to get a glimpse of the actor. Sometimes back, Aju had filed a complaint against actor Bala for barging into his apartment and brandishing a gun with threats of murder. Aju alleged incompetence from the police and said that despite his complaint, no progress happened in the case.

“I just came to see Bala. A year back, I filed a complaint against the same actor but no action followed. He barged into my house and threatened to kill me with a gun. He and his lackeys threw out my belongings from the house. Till now, I have received no report on the matter. Such notorious people are allowed a free run with impunity. And now, news is also surfacing about Bala inflicting physical torture on his manager. This has been going on for a long.” said Chekuthan.
