Ambulance system, emergency medical centres and option for devotees to select less crowded days; better facilities for Sabarimala pilgrimage

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed the assembly that better facilities will be ensured at Sannidhanam, Pamba and transit camps for all those who come for the Sabarimala pilgrimage. The chief minister was replying to the submission of V Joy.

Travancore Devaswom Board has taken steps to improve coordination between police, forest, health, public works, fire force, legal metrology, disaster management, food and public distribution, irrigation, KSEB, KSRTC, BSNL, water authority and pollution control board.

Ambulance system will be set up at Nilakkal and Pampa. 12 emergency medical centres will be set up. Medical centres will be set up in collaboration with the forest department on the Karimala route. The service of cardiologists will be ensured. Steps will be taken to repair the roads and provide convenience and protection to the devotees on the Kanana patha. The darshan will be ensured in a convenient and safe manner for the pilgrims.

Know the route in advance

Information on which route the pilgrims are choosing will be included in the virtual queue, to make the necessary arrangements in advance to manage the crowd. Devotees can opt for a less crowded day. The number of people booked for each day will be made available to the district administration, police and other departments in advance. The details of the pilgrims will be digitally documented through virtual queue registration. This will help in ensuring security at Sabarimala and identifying people in case of accidents and pilgrims getting lost in the crowd.
