‘Prima facie evidence against Divya, case should be registered for abetment of suicide’; Naveen’s brother files complaint

KANNUR: Praveen Babu, brother of ADM Naveen Babu, has filed a police complaint against Kannur district panchayat president P P Divya. His complaint said Divya threatened Naveen Babu and demanded that she be charged with abetment of suicide.

The role of Divya in the death of the ADM and Prasanth, who applied for the petrol pump, should be investigated. Praveen Babu, a high court lawyer, pointed that the mystery of his brother's death should be cleared and prima facie there is evidence to file a case against Divya.

Naveen Babu will be laid to rest tomorrow. The body was handed over to his relatives late last night after the post mortem at Pariyaram Medical College. The body will be brought home today. Therefore, a decision has been taken to keep the body in the mortuary and bring the body home tomorrow afternoon and bury him in the premises of his house. The body was handed over to his relatives in the presence of Kasaragod and Kannur collectors.

CPM Kannur district secretary M V Jayarajan, CPM state committee member T V Rajesh, RSS leader Valsan Thillankeri and others visited the hospital and paid their last respects. M V Jayarajan and T V Rajesh will accompany the body to Pathanamthitta.
