PATHANAMTHITTA: Manjusha, the wife of ADM Naveen Babu, has once again approached the court raising serious allegations in connection with her husband's death. Manjusha alleged that Naveen Babu's post-mortem was not conducted in a proper manner. She filed a petition in the High Court seeking a CBI investigation into her husband's death. In her petition, Manjusha stated that it's hard to believe that her husband died by hanging and that she suspects he was murdered and then hanged.

A proper post-mortem examination wasn't conducted. Manjusha also stated that it is suspicious that the police, who found bloodstains on Naveen Babu's undergarments during the inquest, did not inform the doctor, who performed the post-mortem, about it. The wound on the neck found during the inquest wasn't mentioned in the post-mortem report. Information requested under the Right to Information Act hasn't been provided yet. It's unclear how Naveen Babu, weighing 55 kg, could have hung himself from a small rope. CPM state secretary MV Govindan had stated that the party would protect PP Divya, the accused in the case. Manjusha's petition states that the secretary's wife went to receive PP Divya when she was released from jail. The court is currently considering Manjusha's petition.
