Suresh Gopi reached Pooram venue in ambulance; BJP district president rejects Suresh Gopi's claim

THRISSUR: BJP Thrissur district president Aneesh Kumar has rejected Union Minister Suresh Gopi's claim that he did not reach the Thrissur Pooram venue in an ambulance.

"Suresh Gopi travelled in Swaraj Ground in an ambulance. He had travelled in my car till the round. This is what he intended to say. Police tried their best to prevent Suresh Gopi from reaching near the Thiruvambady Devaswom office. Since they were not allowing other vehicles to pass through, Suresh Gopi was brought in a Seva Bharati ambulance," Aneesh Kumar said.

Suresh Gopi had earlier claimed that he didn't travel to the Pooram venue in an ambulance, contrary to previous reports. Speaking at an election convention in Chelakkara, he stated that he actually used the BJP district president's car to reach his destination.
