THRISSUR: In the wake of explosive revelations in Kodakara Hawala case, the security has been beefed up for former BJP leader Tirur Satheesh. The Thrissur Medical College Police will guard his house as Satheesh revealed to the media about receiving death threats from anonymous callers.
“What I revealed to the media will be repeated in front of the investigation offices. More disclosure will be made in the coming days. I gave false statements earlier due to the pressure from BJP leadership” said Satheesh.
Yesterday evening, Secret Intelligence Service officials met Satheesh and sought information.
Earlier, Satheesh said that the sacks that reached the party office had party flags stacked inside. The estranged BJP leader will now correct the statement and is all set to the reveal truth in court. The police will seek permission from the court on Monday to file a new charge sheet including these matters.
On the basis of the new revelation made by Satheesh, further investigation has been started in the Kodakara hawala case. The decision came in the meeting held between CM Pinarayi Vijayan and DGP.
In 2021, a criminal gang attempted robbery of a car that was carrying Rs 3.5 crore in Kodakara. Later it was alleged that the money was BJP’s fund for assembly elections.
TIRUR SATHEESHAN:
“The money reached the Thrissur district office the night before the incident. I arranged accommodation for Dharmarajan and his companions who had brought the money. The incident in Kodakara took place after they left in the morning. The money came from the BJP and is also mentioned in the charge sheet.
When Dharmarajan first came to the district committee office, the state and district president held a covert meeting with him. It was only after Dharmarajan left the place that I came to know that it was money stacked inside the six sacks placed in the office.”
