Man dies after being struck by power saw at work

PALAKKAD: In a tragic incident, a 55-year-old man from Palakkad died after being struck by a power saw while at work. The deceased is Kundil Chandran (55), a native of Ambalapara Ambedkar Colony Road. The accident took place on Monday afternoon at his worksite. Chandran met with the accident while cutting branches from a felled tree.

The police said that the incident was an accident and that Chandran suffered injuries when a part of the power saw machine accidentally struck his body during work. The power saw struck the right side of Chandran's abdomen. Chandran was first rushed to a private clinic in Ambalapara and later shifted to a private hospital in Kanniyampuram for specialized treatment. However, his life could not be saved.
