PALAKKAD: Sandeep Varier, who is at loggerheads with the BJP leadership, said that he is standing firm on his earlier statements against the leadership. Speaking to the media, he said that the leaders' visit to his house should not be interpreted as a discussion.
"I am standing firm on what I earlier said. There is no need to interpret the leaders' visit to my house as a discussion. I am not a person who believes in personal worship. I move forward as per my ideology," Sandeep Varier said.
Meanwhile, the RSS has directed Sandeep Varier not to make public statements. Sandeep has been directed not to respond further to the media.
"I have conveyed the issues to RSS representative A Jayakumar. This issue would not have arisen had the party heard my complaints earlier. I was given the responsibility of coordinating the campaign in Wayanad as a recognition of my merit. K Surendran should not present it as generosity. I have fulfilled the responsibility well. I had spoken against the efforts to destroy me in the party," Sandeep said.
"I am grateful to the CPM leaders for saying good things about me. However, I am not planning to join the CPM. I am now in the BJP. I spoke against the efforts to destroy me in my own district. I went to Palakkad on Surendran's assurance that I won't be insulted. That was a mistake. I was again humiliated when I went to the convention. I decided to open up about the issues after enduring this kind of humiliation once again," Sandeep had told the media.
