PALAKKAD: Rumours are intensifying that Sandeep Varier may soon exit the BJP. Sources indicate that discussions between Varier and RSS leadership have reportedly come to an end, with no reconciliation reached. Adding to the speculation, a private television channel has reported that Varier is expected to join the CPI.

Reports suggest that a minister from Palakkad is actively involved in facilitating Varier's move. Additionally, sources reveal that Warrier recently held talks with local CPI leaders in Mannarkkad, allegedly securing an agreement that would allow him to contest the Mannarkkad seat in the next assembly elections.

However, Major Ravi, BJP's state vice-president, dismissed the rumours, asserting that Varier remains committed to the party. "Sandeep will not leave BJP for any other party," Major Ravi stated. "He is a nationalist and would never align with a party supporting external agendas. There is significant work to be done within the next year and a half and we are determined to secure a victory in Palakkad and make strong gains in Chelakkara."
