Advocate accused of threatening Shah Rukh Khan arrested

MUMBAI: An advocate who issued a death threat to Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, was arrested from his residence at Raipur in Chattisgarh. He is identified as Mohammad Faizan Khan. The Bandra police station got the threat call a few days ago. The message demanded Rs 50 lakh from the actor and if failed to pay the amount, the actor would be killed. The owner of the phone used for the call was found. He told police that his phone was stolen days ago.

An investigation conducted understood that it was Faizan behind the act. A police case was registered of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita under sections 308 (4) and 351 (3) (4). The threat message was from the phone number registered in the name of the accused. It is still not clear whey Faizan did this? The police are conducting an investigation.

The Bollywood actor had received a death threat in October also. The Mumbai Police then arranged a Y plus security cover. Six armed personnel will now accompany him. He had two armed security personnel earlier.
