PM Modi to commission Vizhinjam port

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the Vizhinjam Port to the nation as a New Year gift to Kerala. The cabinet meeting scheduled for Thursday will decide on requesting the Prime Minister to commission the port. The Prime Minister is currently on a foreign visit. The decision on the date of commissioning will be taken after the Prime Minister returns to India on November 22. The port will be commissioned either by the end of December or the beginning of January.
