THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader VD Satheesan has expressed his disagreement with the government's decision to set up a judicial commission in the Munambam land issue. Satheesan alleged that the government is helping the Sangh Parivar to create division in the society by deliberately delaying a matter that can be settled in ten minutes.
"The government is giving an opportunity to the Sangh Parivar forces to create division in the society by deliberately delaying a matter that can be settled in ten minutes. In a situation where Muslim organizations and Farook College management provided all support for resolving the issue, the government could have taken a decision and informed the court to create a permanent solution. Now, the government is imposing a unilateral decision. The government did not hold any serious discussions with the people on the strike front. The government's approach of delaying a solution to the problem is not the right way," Satheesan said.
"The government has not yet accepted the opposition's demand to call an all-party meeting. By imposing the decision to appoint a judicial commission without consulting anyone, the government has made it clear that it has some ulterior motives. The government is deliberately denying justice to the poor of Munambam," he added.
