'CPM showing exceptional care in case of PP Divya, Pinarayi government won't be able to ensure justice for Naveen Babu's family'

KOCHI: KPCC president K Sudhakaran said that Naveen Babu's family was forced to approach the High Court seeking a CBI probe after those, including Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his political secretary P Sasi, sabotaged the police investigation to protect PP Divya. Sudhakaran said that the Pinarayi government won't be able to ensure justice for Naveen Babu's family and that the CPM is deceiving Naveen Babu's family.

"The CPM is showing exceptional care in the case of PP Divya. Instead of finding those who are responsible for the ADM's death, the investigation team is trying to protect PP Divya by establishing that the ADM was a corrupt official. Although the CPM had taken disciplinary action against PP Divya due to political pressure, both the party and the Home Department have ensured all legal protection for her. While CPM state secretary MV Govindan claimed that the party was standing with Naveen Babu's family, his wife was sent to receive PP Divya who came out of jail. This is the CPM's approach towards the victims and their families. CPIM has double justice and double face. Betrayal of trust is the party's declared policy and agenda," Sudhakaran said.
