10-year-old boy killed after coconut tree fell on him

KANNUR: Tragedy struck in Kannur as a 10-year-old boy lost his life when a coconut tree fell on him. The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Nisal, the son of Pazhayangadi Vengara native KP Mansoor and Sameera.

The accident took place when Nisal went to a nearby field to see the removal of coconut trees using a JCB machine. However, the direction of the falling coconut tree changed, and it fell on the spot where Nisal was standing. Although the injured Nisal was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved. Nisal was a 4th standard student at Vengara Mapila UP School, Muttam. Siblings: Nihal and Niyas.
