Attempted to sexually assault minor girls; two persons arrested 

MUNNAR: Police have arrested two persons who attempted to sexually assault minor girls after establishing friendship with them through social media. The arrested persons have been identified as Thiruvananthapuram Vazhavila native N Muhammad Ali (26) and Kollam Oyoor native R Anwar (29). The accused attempted to sexually assault two school students from Munnar after befriending them through social media.

The accused, who reached Munnar, took the girls to Vattavada in a car. They were arrested while attempting to sexually assault the girls at a private resort in Vattavada. The police arrived at the resort after receiving information from the school authorities.
