'I saw Balu and talked to him for several months after the accident'; Lakshmi opens up

Balabhaskar's wife Lakshmi said that driver Arjun's claim that Balabhaskar was driving the car on the day of the accident was wrong. She said that Arjun had admitted his mistake to Balu's friends after the accident. She was speaking in an interview with a media outlet.

"Arjun admitted his mistake to Balu's friends after the accident. He told them that he fell asleep while driving, and broke down in tears. Balabhaskar was aware of Arjun's previous cases. Arjun had told Balu that he was struggling to survive due to the case against him. Balu brought Arjun to Thiruvananthapuram to help him. Arjun was not Balu's regular driver," Lakshmi said.

Lakshmi said that she doesn't think that Balabhaskar's accident was premeditated. She also expressed confidence in the investigation conducted so far.

"I don't think the accident was premeditated. I would have reacted if there was any hint of someone being behind the accident. The car I travelled in with Balu was not attacked by anyone, and I was conscious at the time of the accident," she said.

"I was told that I regained consciousness several times, but I have no memory of it. I wasn't in a mental state to recall or communicate anything. When I tried to sit up, my hands and legs wouldn't move. The nurses first told me that everyone was outside. The first person I asked about was Balu," she said.

"I had a brain injury. Maybe that's why, in my parallel world, I was talking to Balu and seeing him. I was in a different world. I experienced this for months. Eventually, I started fearing," she added.
