KOCHI: A plea has been filed in the High Court seeking to annul the victory of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi in the Wayanad by-election. The petition was filed by Navya Haridas, the BJP candidate who contested against Priyanka Gandhi in the by-election. In her plea, Navya alleged that Priyanka had provided false information before the Election Commission. She alleged that Priyanka had concealed details regarding the properties owned by her and her family.

The plea states that Priyanka exerted undue influence on voters by concealing the details regarding her assets. It also mentions that the nomination paper should not have been accepted. The main contention of the petition is that Priyanka Gandhi's victory should be annulled due to the false information in her nomination paper.
