KUWAIT: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a grand welcome as he arrived in Kuwait for a two-day visit. Modi arrived at Kuwait Airport at 9:30 am on Saturday and was greeted by Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Youssef Saud Al-Sabah, and Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya. Modi arrived in Kuwait at the invitation of Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait.
Tomorrow, Modi will receive an official welcome at Bayan Palace. He will hold talks with Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. They will also sign India-Kuwait cooperation agreements.
Modi will return to India at 3:30 pm tomorrow. He is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Kuwait since 1981, marking a 43-year gap.
