19-year-old Sreekutty arrested for sexually assaulting teenage boy after taking him to various places

KOLLAM: A woman has been arrested in the case of sexually abusing a minor boy after taking him to various places. The incident happened at Sankaramangalam in Chavara, Kollam. The Vallikunnam police arrested Sreekutty (19) of Kumbalathu House. The woman took the 16-year-old boy, staying with his parents at Ilippakulam in Bharanikavu, from his house on December 1 and sexually abused him.

The woman was in a relationship with someone else. When her family knew about her affair, they shifted her to the 16-year-old boy's house so that she will not see her lover. Sreekutty then took the boy to Mysuru, Palakkad, Palani, Malappuram and then sexually abused the boy, said Vallikunnam Police inspector T Binu Kumar.

The case was registered based on the complaint filed by the boy's mother. The two were caught from Pathanamthitta bus stand on Thursday morning. The woman arrested has been remanded.
