Action hero Babu Antony compliments Unni Mukundan's Marco. Babu Antony clarified that although he is not a proponent of violent films, he appreciates Unni Mukundan and director Haneef Adeni for giving the Malayalam cinema world a good start in 2025. He also shared his big wish.

Congratulations Marco team
Good to hear that the Malayalam action movie "Marco'' is crossing the boundaries. Let me make it clear that I am not a promoter of violence. All my movies were no blood, purely physical action based. I was one of the first actors who spoke against unnecessary rapes, and molesting women etc. in the film.
The Makers of 'Marco' had clearly announced that 'Marco' is a violent film and also the censor board has given an 'A' certificate. Hence the audiences have a choice and no room for complaints, but I guess. There may be criticisms about the violence in the film but I have not heard or seen any complaints about Unni's performance or the making of the film. Congratulations Unni Mukundhan and director Haneef Adeni for crossing the boundaries with 'Marco'. Great beginning for Malayalam films in 2025
When there was no Pan Indian concept or such huge growth in social media, one of my movies also crossed the bounderies, but as remakes. The movie was called 'Poovinu Puthiya Poonthennal", made in Malayalam directed by Fasil. It was remade in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Simhalese. All five language movies were hit and it became a cult film. I got the opertunity to play the villain, playing the same role in all the languages and became one of the highest paid villain in the country.
It has been always a dream for me to do a big budget action movie. Hope that happens soon now with Marco, proving that a good budget action movie has limitless scope. Baahu Beli, KGF etc also have proved it.
All my action movies were made with a shoestring budget, getting an average of 6 hours to do an action sequence with no much of technical support and safety equipments. But I am glad that I became the favorite of the 90's kids, also could inspire many to learn martial arts, and join the gyms etc. to lead a healthy life. The movies like, Uthaman, 20/20, Christian brothers, Grandmaster, Idukky gold, Kakka Muttai, Adanga Maru, Kayamkulam Kochinni, Madanolsavam, RDX etc also gave me good foundations to sweep in the next generation too. Also planning to launch my son Arthur as soon as the right project come along without interrupting his college days. He is been training in various aspects of acting since few years.
Hopefully 2025 will bring me an opportunity to do a good budgeted film as hero or supporting role. Language is no barrier now and we are looking at pan world movies and ideas.
I am on vacation with family now, in Spain. Will join the Tamil film Sardar 2, couple of other Tamil movies, couple of Malayalam and other language movies from mid Jan. Wishing you all a great 2025.
