The movie was promoted as one of the most violent films ever made in Mollywood. The makers had advised women, children and light-hearted people to not book tickets. And now, just 15 days after the release, 'Marco' is on a trailblazing run all across the globe. The movie produced by Sherif Muhammad and directed by Haneef Adeni has touched the rare Rs 100 crore worldwide collection.

This has also paved the way for actor Unni Mukundan to get his first solo 100-crore club movie. The movie released on December 20 in just 89 screens, is now running shows on more than 1500 screens across the world. Marco rave has already hit North India by storm while surprisingly, the movie also received takers in Korea. Marco will be screened on more than 100 screens in Korea, a first for a Malayalam movie.

Moreover, it is totally rare for an A-certificate movie in Malayalam to get into the prized 100 crore club. Despite violence to its zenith, and uncompromising brutality, the movie is running in packed theatres. More records may be broken in the coming days. Marco was made with a budget of just Rs 30 crores.
