KOCHI: Activist Rahul Easwar suffered a backlash after the court failed to accept his anticipatory bail plea in the complaint filed by actress Honey Rose. The High Court sought the response of police, on the anticipatory bail application filed by Rahul. Rahul filed an anticipatory bail application considering the possibility of arrest on Honey Rose's complaint. The police have not lodged an FIR in the case yet.

According to Honey Rose, Rahul demeaned her modesty while participating in channel debates over BoChe issue. The high court will decide on this matter only after getting a response from the police. The case will be heard again on the 27th. Although the police have not registered an FIR in the case, a detailed preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Since the investigation is in the preliminary stage, the police may request the court to reject Rahul Easwar’s bail plea.

Apart from Honey Rose, Saleem from Thrissur had also filed a complaint against Rahul Easwar. On Saturday, Honey Rose complained to Ernakulam Central Station alleging Rahul of conducting an organized attack against her. The second complaint was received on Sunday morning. Saleem in his complaint blamed Rahul for insulting Honey Rose through television channel discussions. As Saleem lacks direct involvement in the case, the police have hitherto not taken his complaint seriously.

Meanwhile, Rahul reiterated that he levelled only positive criticism during the channel interview.
