THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan responded to the controversy over the theme song prepared for the inauguration of the Golden Jubilee Building of the Secretariat Employees Association. It is alleged that the song was prepared in praise of the chief minister, triggering debates of CM Pinarayi encouraging personality cult within the party. The song that begins with the lyrics ‘Chempadak Kavalal’ was released earlier.

CM Pinarayi Vijayan:

“Amidst all these insults, getting some praise is no big deal. Some people, who have taken it as a practice to put all blame on my head may get perturbed by the praise coming my way. We can’t do anything about that. Whatever, I haven’t yet heard the song. But I understood that some people are very disappointed.

These people are shocked that some sections of people are supporting me. Those people are not falling for their agenda. That is what disappoints them. No leaders in CPM would encourage personality cult. Nobody would be able to gain favour through such fawning tactics. This is our approach”

In the program scheduled on Thursday, 100 women employees will sing the song in CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s presence.
