THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K Sudhakaran said that he has not received even the slightest hint of removing him from the KPCC president post. He was responding to a media during the talks on the change in the KPCC leadership. K Sudhakaran clarified that some are deliberately spreading the news of his health issues and said that he will step down if the party asks him to do so.
'Age is not important, ability is vital. How many years of experience I have. I have always been loyal to the party. I spoke to Congress President Mallikarjuna Kharge and Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi for an hour and a half in Delhi. We talked about Kerala politics. Local elections were also discussed.
The news of leadership change is being created by the media. There has been no hint of removing me from the post. I do not know how the names of Sunny Joseph and Anto Antony came up. I spoke to Sunny Joseph yesterday as well. Some are deliberately spreading the news about my health issues. Did I suffer from ill health anywhere in my work? If have health issues, wouldn't I seek treatment? A group is working to corner me. I am sure that the All-India Committee will not change me. Those who say that will change should stop themselves. I will not beg them to stop,' said K Sudhakaran.
