ADGP P Vijayan awarded Medal for Distinguished Service: Two Fire Force personnel honoured, awards for 23 personnel from Kerala

NEW DELHI: Intelligence Chief and ADGP P. Vijayan has been awarded the President's Medal for Distinguished Service in the Police Force from Kerala. Assistant Station Officer Madhusudhanan Nair G, Paravur Fire Station, and Senior Fire and Rescue Officer Rajendran Pillai, Kottarakkara Fire Station, have also been awarded the Distinguished Service Medal from the Fire Service.

Ten police personnel and five each from the Fire Service and Prisons Department have been awarded the President's Medal for their commendable service. A total of 23 people from the state of Kerala have been awarded.

Two Malayalis from the police force, Bindu Shekhar (Joint Director, Union Home Ministry) and A. Balakrishnan (Assistant Sub-Inspector, CBI, Goa), have also been awarded the Distinguished Service Medal. Five Malayalis from various forces were also awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service.
